Miss Moonshine’s is simply BBQ cooking inspired by pit masters and street markets. Taking the time-honoured American grill – with rubs, ribs and a distinctive smoky flavour that can only come from hours of cooking over burning wood – and enhancing it with New Zealand freshness from quality timber and meats.
New Zealand’s first wood smoked BBQ joint, was started on the streets, where it built up a large following, before settling in it’s current home in Ponsonby. Famous for a NZ twist on what is American cuisine at its heart. Pit Boss, aka Ryan, has developed a uniquely kiwi style of BBQ which he is keen to share.
